Complementary Therapies

Reduced playful activity, loss of appetite, and touch sensitivity can be signs your family dog or cat is experiencing pain. Mission Road Animal Clinic recommends in a multi-modal approach to pain management, including therapies that are non-invasive, require no pharmaceuticals and have no side effects.

Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy is a non-surgical, non-medicinal treatment performed in our office to help reduce pain, stimulate healing, and improve mobility. Cold Laser Therapy can be used for a variety of conditions including, but not limited to: arthritis, injury, incisional healing, gingivitis, wound care, and more. Treatment packages are available and tailored to your pets' specific needs.

Genetic Testing

Using the latest science, this test scans your dog’s DNA, both for ancestry information and specific genetic markers. We can use this information to create a custom health and wellness plan based on your dog’s genetic code.

DNA testing can be a fun explanation of a dog’s appearance, but it can also be an important aid when looking for:

  • Ideal adult weight range
  • The best way to train, feed and exercise your dog
  • Behavior problems associated with certain breeds
  • Potential health risks associated with specific breeds
  • Genetic disorders
